The area is well served by air, road and rail.
There are a number of airports offering regular flights with easy access. La Rochelle, Bordeaux, Poitiers and Angoulême-Cognac are the closest airports, car hire is necessary.
The house is 25mins from junction 34 (St. Jean-d'Angély on the A10). The excellent network of toll motorways ensures the journey is direct, with the option of taking the minor roads if you want to make touring a part of your holiday.
Angoulême is the nearest TGV station with services only 2hrs 15mins from Paris. There is a local connecting train from Angoulême to Cognac, but it is advised to confirm as it is not as regular as the TGV service.
On arrival at Cherves de Cognac, we are easily found on the edge of the village.
Cognac is 7kms (4 miles) away situated on the Charente river.
