About us
Welcome
to our tranquil French home. For twenty years I
worked in the City of London and my husband Richard
ran a marketing company.
I am an enthusiastic cook and have attended courses in France, Ireland and the UK, whilst developing an extensive knowledge of gluten free cookery from when Richard was diagnosed with the coeliac condition in the early 1990’s.
I have completed the advanced cookery course at Ashburton Cookery School and work experience at a 2 Michelin starred restaurant under head chef Michael Caines MBE. This has further broadened my portfolio of dishes. The excellent choice of fresh produce available locally from small independent growers and fishermen, makes cooking a delight.
Cherves is a village where we have friendly neighbours. The excellent choice of fresh produce available locally makes cooking a delight. We can hear the farmers working the vineyards and children playing. We walk to our local boulangerie, enjoy Cognac and pineau nearby, whilst retaining a rural outlook.
